Dear Parents / Carers,
Welcome to the new school year. I welcome back all of the families who were with us last academic year and extend a very warm welcome to many new families joining us at the beginning of this academic year. We are delighted that you are now part of our Netheravon All Saints family.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your kind thoughts and good wishes during my absence at the end of last term. The surgery that was undertaken was long and complex but successful and I am feeling good as a result. The summer has given me an opportunity to recover and heal well but under medical advice I must be careful when return to everything ‘normal life’ brings. Following such advice, and in consultation with the Chair of Governors, I will be undertaking a phased return. As a result, I will be at school Monday to Thursday and working from home on a Friday during the month of September.
It was a real pleasure to see so many of you in the playground yesterday and having visited all of the classrooms, I can already see the children hard at work and settled into their new routines.
The staff and I had a very productive day last Friday and discussed many areas where we will be looking to improve and move forward this academic year. I will be writing in due course with news of our renewed vision and values and initiatives in which ALL children will have the opportunity to reach their highest potential. As a team, we are working alongside the Governing Body to achieve a higher level of challenge for all and scope to promote further creativity with an inspiring and challenging curriculum. We ask for your continued commitment and support as we implement new ideas and embed those which were introduced last academic year.
During Collective Worship, I spoke to the children about ‘New Beginnings’. They have all been reminded that the start of a new academic year is a chance to start afresh and to challenge themselves to reach higher and further than ever before. I reminded the children of our expectations for behaviour, commitment to always trying our best and pride in appearance of uniform and the school in general. We spent time discussing the needs of others and how a friendly, caring and Christian outlook and manner towards each other will make this a pleasant and successful school year.
Over the coming week, I will be writing to you regarding key dates for the coming term, general information and other event news.
I am excited about the new school year and look forward to the journey we will make together in positivity of achieving the very best for all.
With kind regards,
Ms. L. Tight, Head Teacher
