Our funding for 2017/18 is expected to be £8780.00. We will use the P.E. and School Sport funding to support:
  • Broadening the range of activities offered as high-quality PE, including purchasing of resources and providing training and support for teachers to deliver the activities;
  • Re-gaining School Games gold by developing further school-club links;
  • Continuing to train our young people to become young sports leaders;
  • Development of active, healthy young people through daily activity, ‘Change 4 Life Club’ and other initiatives;
  • Our share of funding the local cluster School Sport Partnership based at Avon Valley College;

Our funding for 2016/17 is expected to be £8780.00. We will use the P.E. and School Sport funding to support:
  • Hosting a hugely popular and successful School Sports Week, in which every child took part in a wide range of new and exciting activities including lacrosse, tchouckball, handball and Aussie rules football;
  • Our share of funding the local cluster School Sport Partnership based at Avon Valley College. This partnership organises the festivals and competitions our children take part in, many of which (including the mini-marathon and dance evening) would not happen without this partnership. Amongst other areas of support we also receive teacher training and professional development, children’s training (for example as playground leaders) and loan of P.E. resources and equipment.
  • Employment of a specialist P.E. teacher to provide teacher training and work alongside our teachers to provide high quality P.E. lessons for each class in our school over the course of the academic year across a wide range of activities;

  • Provision of equipment/ training/ resources to enable Y5/6 children to become young sports leaders;
  • Investment in new P.E. resources and equipment & replacement of old resources;
Our funding for 2015/16 was £8765. We used the P.E. and School Sport funding to support:
  • Our share of funding the local cluster School Sport Partnership based at Avon Valley College. This allowed us to participate in a wider-range of activities and engage a greater number of children from all year groups and backgrounds. This partnership also provided teacher CPD where required and cluster-meetings for the PE Manager to share best practise etc. with other local schools;
